Through nine years of personal expeditions and employment in the outdoor industry, I have learned the value of outdoor experiences in shaping young people.  By working as a team to tackle an outdoor challenge with support from adults who care, young people break down the social norms of town life and develop a new healthy sense of self that is foundational for sound decision-making.

While engaging participants in fun and challenging activities, I hold each participant accountable for reaching personal goals with dignity and honor.  My goal is to guide in a manner that empowers each person to grow into a better gentleman or lady.  I model new behaviors by working as a team with my colleagues, happily performing day-to-day tasks and providing positive support.  Through my attitudes and behaviors, I am able to gain the respect of young people while working with them at their level.
